Staff News: Academic and sector success

Congratulations to our Project Officer Ian Marshman (pictured), who has recently obtained his PhD from the University of Leicester.  Ian’s doctorate thesis is entitled ‘Making Your Mark in Britannia: an investigation into the use of signet rings and intaglios in Roman Britain.’

In other finds related news, Senior Project Officer Alex Beeby has been successfully elected as a committee member to the Chartered Institute for Archaeologist’s specialist Finds Group. The role of this group within the sector has recently been updated and can be found within their Spring 2016 newsletter on CIfA’s Finds Group webpage.
